The Necessity of Degassing for Ink-jet Ink

In the printhead, ink is pressurized or depressurized repeatedly. And dissolved gasses change to small bubbles.
In consequence,

  1. Air bubbles block nozzles and ink doesn't jet.
  2. Air bubbles weaken the pressure of piezoelectric and ink doesn't jet straight.

→ Degassing is needed to resolve these problems.

* Degassing efficiency is dependent on the size of gas-liquid interfacial area. Because our degassing modules using hollow fibers have large interfacial area, it becomes possible to degass very efficiently.
